Megan Thee Stallion corrected false reports that she had been arrested on Sunday, July 12 and revealed that she had been shot multiple times. "On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets," she wrote, in part.
On Friday, Megan tweeted more about the incident and how she feels as she continues to recover. "Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own," she wrote. "It might be funny to yâall on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and Iâm real life hurt and traumatized."
The alleged culprit in Megan's shooting is rapper Tory Lanez, who was arrested at 4:30 A.M. Sunday morning at a Hollywood Hills residence on a concealed weapons charge. Megan and Lanez were apparently hanging out at a pool party last Saturday night at Kylie Jenner's house. Here is an Instagram Live video of Megan and Jenner together. Lanez also appears in the video, starting at about 13 seconds:
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to People on Monday that Lanez posted his $35,000 bail and was released from jail. He has a scheduled court appearance on October 13.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley thanked Bajan superstar and entrepreneur Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty for the donation of 4 000 tablets to help bridge the digital divide of the haves and have nots in Barbados.

Barbados, like other countries, was forced to move to digital education platforms as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic caused the closure of schools. Measures to restrict movement and curb spread of the virus were implemented in March. The tablets were donated through the Clara Lionel Foundation and the Jack Dorsey Start Small Foundation to assist students. The Ministry of Education had fallen short of its goal to acquire 10 000 tablets as indicated on the back page of today’s Daily Nation. “We all know that education is the most important gift that we can give any child and to the extent that we can ensure that there is no digital divide among all of our students; that is our duty,” Mottley (right) said in a recorded address today. Mottley repeated her now familier: “we can always do it better when we do it together, we are always stronger when we work together”. The Prime Minister also mentioned Rihanna’s other philantrophic efforts: “Your Bajan-ness, your commitment to this country, your commitment to this region in the context of building climaite resilience has not gone unnoticed. The world has watched you be that extraordinary Bajan, that extraordinary global citizen that has not forgotten that their roots are right here in Barbados,” she said. Mottley thanked Rihanna and those who work with the Clara Lionel Foundation for continuing to assist and give a voice to the voiceless. The Prime Minister said there is a place here for Rihanna as others also want to say “thank you and we love you”. Agencies such as United Nations Development Fund have said that the pandemic has caused gains in education to be lost as all children do not have access to electronic devices and Internet services to facilitate digital teaching and learning. World's longest surviving conjoined twins worked carnival sideshow act die at the age of 687/7/2020
The world's oldest set of conjoined twins, Ronnie and Donnie Gaylon have died at the age of 68 on July 4 in Dayton, Ohio
They were born healthy, weighing 11 pounds, 11.5 ounces, but they spent the first two years of their life in the hospital as doctors struggled to figure out a way to safely separate them. When they were told there was no guarantee that both boys would survive the surgery, Wesley and Eileen refused to operate on their sons. For 68 years, the brothers lived face-to-face, fused from the sternum to the groin with one set of lower digestive organs. They were each born with separate hearts and stomachs and had their own set of arms and legs. According to Ward Hall's biography, the twins mother rejected them when they were born - leaving them primarily to be raised by their father, Wesley and later their stepmother Mary. Burdened by colossal medical bills that racked up from the twins first two years spent in the hospital and pressure to raise his family, Wesley decided to enter Donnie and Ronnie in the carnival where they had a lucrative career until they retired in 1991. 'That was the only income. They were the breadwinners,' said their youngest brother Jim, who was born when the Donnie and Ronnie were aged 11. The twins learned to walk when they were 29 months, learning to take turns on who would walk backwards. Their parents hired occupational therapists to teach them everyday tasks such as tying shoes, using the toilet and learning how to work with each other as both brothers were born right handed - another complexity that required intense coordination. Donnie and Ronnie were denied from attending the local school because officials said they would be too distracting to other students. 'It was a different era,' said their brother Jim. Their IQs were determined to be in the average range, but according to J. David Smith's book, Psychological Profiles of Conjoined Twins, they seemed slower due to a lack of formal education. The twins exhibited themselves in an air-conditioned trailer for most of their carnival show careers. They lounged about watching television while spectators paid to peer in the window to observe them conduct daily life. Old advertisements read: 'Still a sensation! The Gaylon Siamese twins, the U.S.'s most visited attraction on any Midway.' 'When we were on the road, it was all like one big family,' said Ronnie to MLive in 2014. As freak shows and carnival acts became taboo in the United States during the 1970s, the 'Sensational Siamese Twins' took their act to Central and South America where they performed as the headlining act in the circus doing magic tricks. 'They were treated totally different down there,' said their brother Jim. 'They were treated like rock stars.' Though Donnie and Ronnie mastered the art of compromise over the years, it wasn't always easy. Some arguments even escalated to fisticuffs, especially when they were teenagers. At the age of 14, one twin broke his foot after kicking a trailer in a fit of anger. The physical blows stopped when the brothers began taking blood thinners and realized that a fight could easily turn fatal. 'They get into it verbally, of course,' said Jim to MLive in 2014. 'But that's understandable when you got somebody right there 24-7, seven days a week, year after year after year.' In 2014, Donnie and Ronnie celebrated their longevity when they became the oldest living set of conjoined twins in the Guinness Book of World Records. The prior record holders were Chang and Eng Bunker, Chinese brothers that were born in Thailand in 1811 and lived to the age of 62. Of the milestone, Ronnie told the Dayton Daily News in 2014: 'It’s what me and Donnie’s always dreamed about, and we hope to get the ring, because we’ve dreamed about getting this since we were kids.' Despite their unconventional life, Donnie and Ronnie were clear that they lived their life with no regrets. 'We had fun when we were growing up,' said Ronnie. Donnie echoed the sentiment, 'We've had a nice life. The U.S. is “looking at” banning TikTok and other Chinese social media apps, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News on Monday. His comments come amid rising tensions between the U.S. and China and as scrutiny on TikTok and Chinese technology firms continue to grow. When asked in a Fox News interview if the U.S. should be looking at banning TikTok and other Chinese social media apps, Pompeo said: “We are taking this very seriously. We are certainly looking at it.” “We have worked on this very issue for a long time,” he said. “Whether it was the problems of having Huawei technology in your infrastructure we’ve gone all over the world and we’re making real progress getting that out. We declared ZTE a danger to American national security,” Pompeo added, citing the two Chinese teleommunications networking companies. “With respect to Chinese apps on peoples’ cellphones, the United States will get this one right too. ”TikTok was not immediately available for comment when contacted Washington has been on a campaign against Chinese technology firms. Huawei in particular has been in the crosshairs. The U.S. maintains that Huawei equipment could be used for espionage by Beijing, and that user data could be compromised. Huawei has repeatedly denied those allegations. But TikTok, owned by Beijing-based ByteDance, has also been on the radar since last year. Washington has been concerned that the platform censors content and that its data could be accessed by Beijing. TikTok has tried to distance itself from its Chinese parent company. In fact, TikTok was meant to be for the international market while ByteDance runs a separate app in China called Douyin. The company hired former Disney executive, Kevin Mayer, to be TikTok’s CEO earlier this year. His priority was seen as rebuilding trust with regulators. But the Trump administration still appears skeptical of TikTok. When asked by Fox News if Americans should download the social media app, Pompeo said: “Only if you want your private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.” TikTok has previously said that U.S. user data is stored in the United States, with a backup in Singapore. The company also said that its data centers are located entirely outside of China, and none of their data is subject to Chinese law. Congressional candidate KW Miller claims Beyonce is 'not even African American' in Twitter rant.7/7/2020
By DEIRDRE SIMONDS Beyonce is 'FAKING' being African American, claims congressional candidate KW Miller, in bizarre Twitter rant where he says singer is ITALIAN
In addition to his baseless allegation, Miller went on to contend that the mother-of-three, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, created a 'secret coded message to the globalists' in her hit song Formation. He concluded his tirade by saying she keeps 'Satanist symbols in her bag,' which seemingly nodded to her lyric, 'I got a hot sauce in my bag, swag.' Miller also went on to call Patti LaBelle an 'another Illuminati globalist puppet.' He then pointed to her lyrics from the 1991 track Somebody Loves You Baby (You Know Who It Is), which read, 'I’m under your spell/ I don’t want to break free/ You can make a slave out of me/ I worship you and nobody else/ I pledge my love to you forever.' 'Who was she professing this to? Moloch? Lucifer? Who?' he asked. On Sunday, Miller returned to Twitter to clarify he wasn't joking and is 'as real as it gets.' 'I can't imagine words about a pop star offending me,' he retorted. 'Does mommy still tuck you into bed at night?' |
